Hi fellow iosmusicians! I'm thinking of buying a Focusrite iTrack Dock. It would be nice to hear if anyone has any experience with it.
My biggest concern is the overall usability. I have the 4th generation iPad, which seems quite large for the iTrack. Does the bigger iPad fit nicely there? And I guess once the iPad is installed to the device you can't really carry around the dock (I'm thinking of a live performance)?
Any opinions about the device? Or, is there some better solution available on the market for an iPad with a Lightning connector? Thanks!
Ps. I'm new to the forum. Seems like an awesome place for sharing information and experiences!

Hi tuomas, welcome!
No personal experience with the iTrack, but I have heard from a couple of others who use them - one uses a cablejive extender cable to connect his pad without having to have it in the dock. You should hit your local music store and ask them if you can try it out with your pad, see what you think of it. Of course, there are quite a few options now for audio and midi IO with iPads, what do you want it for?
