This is for developers. I'm wondering what criteria a developer uses to decide whether or not to update an app. For example, IAA has been out for a while yet the adoption rate seems low. Obviously, a serious developer is in this for financial gain, a very acceptable reason, and updates use resources that may yield less in terms of sales. Still, perhaps there are any number of reasons and I'm curious about that.
Relatedly, I'm wondering why some updates that include major new features aren't offered as in app purchases. I can think of a number of them that I'd gladly pay for.
So, developers, please chime in and speak your mind!
